A first release of PHP 7.1.0beta3 for RHEL/CentOS 6.8 and 7.2 is now available. It is in the webtatic-testing repositories due to being beta stability. It should not be used for production use.

Note this fixes the HTTPoxy (httpoxy.org) issue and is the last release of PHP 5.5 from PHP.net.
Webtatic will backport critical security patches from PHP 5.6 to 5.5 where possible for a year.
As discussed in Webtatic EL 5 and 6 adding EPEL dependency, the Webtatic EL5 and EL6 repositories will now require the EPEL 5/6 repositories to have been configured for various dependencies of the packages supplied. The old packages previously synced from the EPEL repositories have been moved to the Webtatic archive repositories, accessible via adding --enablerepo webtatic-archive to Yum commands.
Its recommended to use the EPEL repository from now on instead of these archived packages, as the former will keep them updated.
Webtatic EL5 and EL6 have been syncing EPEL packages on occasion in order to meet dependencies on the packages it provides. This hasn't been an ideal solution, and so this will be changed to be a explicit dependency on the EPEL repository needing to be configured along with Webtatic. Webtatic EL7 has been doing this since it was initially created.
The date this will come to pass will be 20th June 2016. After this date, you will need to have the EPEL repository configured.
Guides have been updated to include the EPEL repository in preparation for this.
