Latest updates, CentOS/RHEL 6 repostory and PHP 5.4.0

Webtatic is happy to announce it will now be providing a repository for CentOS 6 and RHEL 6. As part of the first release, PHP 5.4.0 has also been released to the repository.

Due to the nature of providing a reliable, safe YUM repository, the new EL6 yum repository will follow recent trends in the structure and naming conventions of a 3rd-party repository, so it will be able to run along-side the distribution’s own repositories without interfering with installed packages.

This also means that it will now be easier to upgrade within Webtatic’s own update stream, as the repository will no longer be enable=0, and not require –enablerepo=webtatic in installation commands.
